The Experience
The adventure starts at 13:30hs at El Chaltén
Bus Terminal.
A 2.5-hour guided trek through lenga forests and alongside Arroyo del Puesto leads you to the pristine Laguna Rosa, a key wildlife conservation area, before continuing to the imposing Cagliero Este Glacier to witness its spectacular hanging ice and moraines.
The hut itself sits beyond the glacier viewpoint, that can exclusively be reached by our guests and small groups, which is exactly why it stays this quiet.
Pick Up at El Chalten Bus Terminal 13:30hs.

Detailed Schedule
Day 1: The Journey Begins
13:30 h – Departure from El Chaltén: A complimentary private transfer from Refugio de Glaciares will pick you up at the El Chaltén bus terminal station.
14:30 h – Arrival & Briefing: After a scenic 27-kilometer drive along Provincial Route 23, you will arrive at the Refugio de Glaciares Natural Reserve. Here, a park ranger will welcome you, introduce the reserve, detail the trekking route, and share important safety guidelines.
15:00 h – Guided Trek to the Hut: Begin a beautiful 2.5-hour guided hike through the reserve to reach your mountain hut.
Evening: Unwind with a simple, cozy dinner and a glass of wine, followed by a peaceful night's sleep in front of a massive glacier.

Day 2: Morning & Return
Morning – Wake Up in Nature: Enjoy a fresh morning coffee at the hut before starting the hike back.
08:45 h – Hike Back: Trek down from the hut to meet our return shuttle.
10:00 h – Shuttle to El Chaltén: The complimentary transfer departs back to town.
12:00 h – Arrival: You will arrive at the El Chaltén bus terminal around noon, where the activity concludes.
