Our Full Experience Plan - 5 Nights
To explore Chalten in-depth we recommend you staying for at least 5 nights.
Day 1 Afternoon transfer in, first walk along the Río de las Vueltas.
Day 2 Full-day trek to Glaciar Cagliero Este and Laguna Rosa: forest, wetland, and a close-up view of hanging glaciers and moraine.
Day 3 Full-day trek to Laguna Milodón, through old grazing land turned wetland, with nesting sites for the torrent duck.
Day 4 Transfer to the trailhead for Laguna de los Tres, on your own pace.
Day 5 Transfer to Lago del Desierto for boating or trekking to nearby glaciers (at your own expense).
Day 6 Morning transfer back to El Chaltén.
